In the world, your senses are a tool for survival, pleasure, and critical thinking. In art, your emotions are all of the above. When it comes to art, in any medium, it’s hard to know which comes first – the feelings that come to life, or the result of the feelings, on paper. Sometimes, art shows us what we already know about ourselves. Sometimes it reveals something new.
Denise Ramos spent years immersed in different mediums- culinary arts, painting, music, owning a brick-and-mortar business. While all of those different forms of art and expression meant a great deal and had huge impact on the other, Denise ultimately found her way back to her true medium in painting.
So many of her past collections expressed the act of growth, in real time. While warmly reviewing some old photos of her on stage singing and playing music, she recognized a frustration in her face and knew she had more work to do. And work she did. Denise’s newest collection is an expression of exactly where she is now, a meeting, if you will, of her purest self.
Denise Ramos’ latest collection is a reflection of her joy and peace. Her expression with the technique aims to capture a specific vibe that is soothing, calming, and lively.
